(N.B. If your school is running 'GroupCall for Teachers' from July 2020, any departing teachers will automatically be declared inactive once they are no longer in your MIS.)
- Log in to a SAM administrator account.
- Go to the 'Profile' tab.
- Select the 'Teacher Data' link on the left-hand side.
- Scroll down to the relevant teacher and change their status to inactive. Then scroll down and click 'Save'.
The teacher's account will be made inactive immediately - and will be hidden from your teacher data as long as you have the "Hide inactive teachers" option ticked. Teachers are not permanently removed (in case they return to your school), but the account cannot be used until the administrator makes it active again.
The same process can be used if one of your teachers has multiple teaching accounts that are no longer required. We recommend a termly 'admin tidy up' to keep teacher data up to date.
