How do I work with School Intervention Groups? (Wave 2)

• Wave 2 Groups can be created containing any learners you like.  
• You can then set tasks to all or some of these learners - and monitor their progress.

Creating Wave 2 Groups - on the Groups Tab

1. Click on  and then .
2. Identify the Intervention Category for your group - and give it a useful name (learners NEVER see what groups they are in).
3. Add pupils - filter or type in learner names to find them - by clicking on the blue boxes to the left.
4. Continue to select Teachers to link with the new group.

Once created, all aspects of a group can be edited .

Setting Tasks - on the Set Tasks Tab

To the whole group

1. Click on  and then select the group you want to set work for by clicking on the blue box to the left.
2. Select activities in the usual way, using the filters to speed up your search.
3. to set the task date range and name.

To a selection of individuals from the group

1. Click on  and then filter to the School Intervention Group you want to choose learners from.
2. Select the individual learners you want to set work to by clicking on the blue box to the left of their names.
3. Select activities in the usual way, using the filters to speed up your search.
4.  to set the task date range and name.

Monitoring Progress - on the Reports/Tasks Tab

1. Filter to the group you want to review - you can see how many hours each learner has done on SAM Learning and their average score.
2. You can also filter to a specific date range and subject if that is useful.
3. To find out more about the work of an individual learner, click on their name.
