Revise Editable | These are interactive revision activities, using a variety of question types such as drop-down menus, radio buttons and reordering tasks. Visually engaging, these activities are also great for homework and intervention.
Revise | These activities are used to reinforce subject-related vocabulary, with text-based content and drag-and-drop questions. They are perfect for recall and lesson consolidation.
Revise + | These are interactive revision activities, using a variety of question types such as drop-down menus, radio buttons and reordering tasks. Visually engaging, these activities are also great for homework and intervention.
Test | Test questions give learners the opportunity to write free-text answers to specific topic-related questions. The learner is provided with the marking scheme to check and score their work. If the tests have been set as tasks, the teacher can go in and review the learner’s answers.
Exam Paper | These enable learners to develop their exam techniques. They are similar to the test questions but are timed, giving learners time-management experience.
Exam Essentials | Everything your learners need for the exam - and nothing else. A complete revision programme, following the specification topic by topic, with end of unit summary assessments and content for both Foundation and Higher learners: AQA Science and English, Edexcel Maths.
Diagnostics | Designed to work with Question Level Analysis to find gaps in learning and monitor impact of intervention works. Currently available for the KS2-3 (Y6-7) transition - and coming soon for KS3-4 (foundations for GCSE).
Share | These have been created by teachers using SAM Learning’s authoring tool. Share activities are available for use in all SAM Learning schools - over 13,000 to date. Please ‘pin’ them to allow access by students in your school. Learn more about Share here.
Share + | Teacher-created activities that have been approved and edited by our content team for inclusion in the main SAM Learning menu.
Activity Builder | Teachers can use Activity Builder to create their own activities and set them to learners as a task. Activities with this icon have been written by teachers in your school but are not shared with the wider SAM Learning community.
Real World | These are contextualised activities in which learners have to overcome problems in real-world scenarios. These activities also include variants to thoroughly test the learner’s understanding of key concepts when doing the activity for a second or third time.
Improve | These activities have the added advantage of sound and hints, providing additional support to the learner. In Maths and English, this helps with procedural knowledge, and in modern foreign languages will assist with accent and pronunciation. |
