The Targeted Intervention Framework is a fully supported Targeted Intervention package, enabling a strategic plan to be successfully carried out within your educational establishment, and providing staff with a certification course that can be used as part of their CPD.
At the beginning of the process, the Getting Started Coursebook will ask you for the basic information to identify your school's needs and highlight areas of focus.
The next step is to book an online Strategic Planning meeting with our Targeted Intervention Specialist who will discuss your needs. This will involve setting SMART targets as well as ensuring the plan is in line with Whole School Improvement Plans or Ofsted requirements.
The intervention groups are then set up and the staff who will be managing each group are identified.
Training for intervention staff is offered onsite and remotely. This training kick-starts the process of setting work on a weekly basis to your groups.
The Targeted Intervention Leader (TIL) will monitor this as will the Targeted Intervention Expert (TIE) who is responsible for the groups.
At all times, the Targeted Intervention Specialist will also be monitoring the groups. During the 15-week certification course, there will be regular review meetings to examine the suite of reports available from SAM Learning. Participating teachers will be expected to show that they have been setting assignments and that they have a mastery of these reports.
Throughout the process, the Targeted Intervention Specialist is on hand to offer support and advice. This may be through additional training, reporting or liaising with Customer Support or your Account Manager. It is all part of our personalised education service.
After 15 weeks the staff will be assessed for certification. They will be expected to have completed the Coursebook, demonstrating that they have been setting work regularly and using it to track and monitor progress. At the end of the course, a new strategic plan will be set up to carry forward.
